Version for 1981 and later models, including Monolever.

The instrument lighting system was a problem, even when the bikes were a few years old. Now after 30 - 40 or more years, even more so! The instrument illumination made use of what was a fairly standard technology of the day, a flexible circuit board and incandescent bulbs. The circuit board breaks and or gets corroded with time. Replacement parts are no longer available from BMW.

Here is the answer: The KATDASH, a modern solid state LED replacement part that is better and far more reliable than the original. The LEDs are brighter than the original bulbs and were designed to be easily visible in direct sunlight. The alternator charging light has a resistor built in so that the charging system will work properly and more reliably.
