Wheel Bearing Shim Set of 10, 0.1mm

The wheel bearing adjustment spacers are, for the most part, no longer available. They were offered in 0.05mm increments. This is a set of 10 shims, each in 0.1mm increments. Together with your existing shims, you will be able to achieve the perfect preload of your wheel bearings.

You may need to custom-fit your original spacer to achieve the correct preload. One way to do that is with fine-grit sandpaper on a sheet of glass or other completely flat surface. Sand the shim down a bit at a time, rotating constantly and frequently measuring the thickness at several points to ensure that you are removing material evenly. With a bit of time and patience, you can stack one or more of these shims together with the original spacer to achieve a perfect fit.

These shims are applicable to /5 models through 1984 models rear axles. These shims also work on late /6 model front axles with a 17mm OD.
