Description
Airhead Frame Brace Set
Already in the 1970s and 1980s many athletes experimented with suspension struts to improve the stiffness of the BMW frame during sporting events. For this purpose it was necessary to connect the front and the rear frame with a suitable strut. The solutions, which were professionally executed, were usually welded with the frame, the others were interlocked with questionable clamping clips and their effect was considered doubtful.
We have had a lot of inquiries over the past few years, whether we would have a "clever chassis strut" in the program. If we did not have. But we were thinking about it intensively. The strut should be easily and flexibly mountable on all two-pivot frames so that they can also be used in conversions (not only in sports) and in various carburetor and intake configurations.
For this purpose, we have developed high-quality, screwable aluminum brackets that accommodate the adjustable strut braces. This makes the alignment of the strut braces individually possible. The pre-tensioning of the aluminum struts, which consists of a 20 mm round tube, is done by hand, the adjustment is countered.
The advantages of the landing gear struts are not limited to sports gear, they are just as effective in the two-valve GS and in road machines. Flexibly mountable, with adjustable preload.
