Description
Oil Filter Cover for Oil Cooler
This part is machined of solid aluminum, not a casting. It is an ideal replacement for the original Thermostat and it will make it much easier to change the filter going forward.
It can also be used when adding an oil cooler to your engine (/7 and later) When doing so, you'll need to change out the inner pipe to the longer version (Part Number 1142387 )
Equivalent to the BMW part number 11 42 1 338 511

Nicely made part and mostly easy installation. Would have been nice if four crush washers had been provided as they really are required.
