Description
Advance Spring Set (2) 1976-78
Over time, the advance springs weaken and no longer do they properly retract the advance mechanism. This can result in a slightly advanced ignition timing at idle. The symptoms are a slower than desired return to idle or a high idle. We recommend replacing these springs when replacing the points.
Sold as a set of two. Equivalent to BMW Part Number 12 11 1 357 627, but at almost half the price.

Was having problems with idle speed not consistent. Upon returning to idle, rpm would vary. Suspected advance not returning to base setting. Replaced old springs with these new ones and idle rpm is now consistent every time.
