Boxer2Valve has sourced a high quality reporduction filler cap from Europe. The equivalent OEM part was discontinued from BMW and replacements are hard to find. This filler cap meets or exceeds the OEM specs and makes an excellent looking update to your R80 G/S.

This fits my 1984 R80g/s standard tank, but is different than the original that came with it. The original was plastic (mostly) and this one is metal. It is a smaller diameter and fits a little tighter so it takes a bit of effort to unscrew, but otherwise it works fine. The smaller diameter exposes the crappy/flaked paint around the fill neck but the bike is a little rustic anyway.
