Master Cylinder Repair Kit, 17mm 76-80
The old ATE master cylinders, being out of sight and out of mind under the fuel tank, were often neglected. They are made of cast iron and susceptible to corrosion. If you are lucky, all you will need is a repair kit to revive your master cylinder. For best results, hone the cylinder with a flex hone of the appropriate size. If the pitting is too deep, a good local machinist can insert a stainless steel sleeve and save the part.
There are three sizes. The size should be stamped on the body of the master cylinder. Locate that before ordering to ensure that you get the correct kit.

The master brake cylinder repair kit arrived promptly and as specified, everything correct and fitted, now like new again.

Grabbed the front brake and oh no nothing there.Removed the gas tank and sure nuff the master cylinder had leaked dry.I ordered the rebuild kit from Boxer 2 valve.Lightly honed the cylinder bore as suggested with a flex hone.I reassembled the master cylinder.The kit came with all the necessary parts which were very high Quility.Now I have rock solid brakes again.Great company to deal with I’m very satisfied.

A good kit to renew your Airhead master cylinder. Everything included for inside the cylinder except the spring. Don’t misplace the small pushrod between the cylinder arm and master cylinder.
