Ignition Coil
This is a 6 volt ( 6V) coil. The coils are wired in series. Specific to 1970-80 models. Does not apply to vehicles with electronic ignition.

Been upgrading all the old parts on a 1978 BMW r80/7. The original coils were working but after nearly 50 years I figured it was time to replace them. These are slightly longer and a smidge thinner than the originals but I was able to fit them in the same location with the original brackets. You'll need to keep the original brackets and, in my case, used a small piece of foam to make up the slim factor.
