This gear is where the power is transferred in all gears. Originally, this part had a 15° gear cut and this was changed in 04/82 to 17,5°

You will also need:

• Part number 2321997 Intermediate Shaft Gear (not available from BMW)
• Output Shaft 5th Gear Wheel - part number 2322993 Standard Milled gear with 5% taller gearing

NOTE:

• If your bike was manufactured after 04/82, but before 03/85 then this part is a direct replacement.
• If your bike was manufactured before 04/82 and never upgraded to the newer design, then you will also need to purchase a new 5th gear wheels that are also cut at 17,5°
